Coke and Oreo Launch ‘Besties’ Playlist Campaign

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, it may already be tingling at the thought of Coca-Cola and Oreo biscuits together. If you don’t, of course, your stomach may be churning. But yes, the two brands have come together for limited-edition Coke-flavoured cookies and Oreo-flavoured Coke, and now they have roped Spotify in to their marketing campaign.

The trio have launched a feature called ‘Bestie Mode’ on Spotify which involves answering questions about their best friend and their musical tastes, and then getting a personalised playlist in response to share with them. It’s Spotify’s latest brand partnership. “Our users spend two hours per day with us. This is one of the ways we’re helping brands to offer them something fun and new right where they are,” said global head of advertising sales and partnerships Brian Berner.

Bestie Mode debuted yesterday, and will be promoted to listeners via targeted ads on Spotify.
